Posted on March 25th, 2013 by Charles Norburn
SDES IT is launching a new system for the submission and tracking of technology requests and issues.
This system, named Cherwell, will allow the Service Desk to provide prompt and effective support for
SDES employees.
Please continue to submit your issues as usual, until further notice. You will receive notification
to begin using the system from either your department’s leadership or an IT representative.

Computer Services and Telecommunications is enabling a policy that deletes any email in your Outlook inbox that is older than 180 days. This policy is set to go into effect on April 1st, 2012.
Although SDES IT has set an automated policy that configures your auto-archiving to 60 days as well as the auto-archive destination to our server, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all of their folders have this policy applied.

SDES IT adheres to eco-friendly practices in its computing environment. We have found that going green translates not only to a positive ecological impact, but directly into cost savings too. While need, cost and support services are the main driving factors in purchasing decisions, we also consider the 'green' aspect of the technology in question.

As such, SDES IT would like to remind you that SDES has a dedicated user account for logging on to laptops to conduct presentations.
